Automated Parking Structures

The City of Kitchener’s Parking Enterprise is embarking on a 21st century solution to make parking in the city’s core even more convenient for visitors.

Since 2004, the City has successfully automated the City Hall, Duke and Ontario, The Kitchener Market's, Charles and Benton and Civic District parking garages.

The move to automate payment collection at the parking structures is expected to bring many benefits to users of the structures. State-of-the-art automated equipment, centrally located in each parking facility, will offer users more flexibility in payment options and will eliminate the line-ups that often occur currently when exiting the garage at the end of the day.
